XSR summary
Hola Prime's website belongs to Hola Prime Limited, a Hong Kong company with an office in Tseung Kwan O and terms governed by Hong Kong law. It was founded in 2024 and is led by CEO Somesh Kapuria; MT5 services run through Hola Prime Ltd Mauritius, which holds an FSC licence. Forex has 1-Step Prime, 2-Step Prime, 2-Step Pro and the no-evaluation Direct; futures has 1-Step Prime and Direct. You pick the split with the payout cycle at purchase: 80% bi-weekly, 95% monthly, 80% on demand. Each payout is reviewed for up to 24 business hours, then processed within an hour of the request. The trap is on funded accounts: risk per trade idea may not exceed 2% of the starting balance and every trade needs a stop loss, or the account ends.

Watch out for
Funded accounts cap risk per trade idea at 2% of the starting balance and require a stop loss on every trade; founded in 2024, so test small.

The loss limit is measured from your starting balance and never moves. The most forgiving of the three.

Once you are funded
No activation fee; the 5%/10% limits carry over, plus a 2% risk cap per trade idea with a mandatory stop loss. Bi-weekly payouts need 3 profitable days, monthly 7, on-demand 40% consistency and at least 2% profit. The fee is refunded with the 4th payout.
Hola Prime rules, in plain words
Most dangerous first. Each one says what the rule is, how it is measured, and what it looks like on a real account.
Funded accounts: 2% risk per trade idea, stop loss required
StrictEvery funded and Direct account (forex and futures) needs a stop loss on every trade, and the risk to that stop may not exceed 2% of the starting balance. Same-instrument, same-direction positions that overlap in time, or reopen within 10 minutes of a close, count as one idea. A loss above 2% without a stop also breaches. It is a hard breach; the challenge phase is exempt.
Example
On a $100,000 account the cap is $2,000. Three overlapping EURUSD buys risk $500, $1,000 and $600 to their stops, $2,100 in total, so the account is terminated even if all three close in profit.
Daily loss: a percentage of the previous day's close
StrictThe daily limit is a percentage of the previous day's closing balance: 5% on 2-Step (4% at $200K), 3% on 1-Step Prime and forex Direct, reset at 17:00 EST. Closed and floating losses both count, and profit made earlier that day adds room. On forex it is a hard breach; the futures Direct 2.5% is soft, closing your trades and pausing you until the next day.
Example
A $100,000 2-Step Prime closed yesterday at $110,000. Today's limit is $5,500, so equity must stay above $104,500.
Maximum loss: fixed on forex challenges, trailing on Direct and futures
StrictOn forex 1-Step Prime, 2-Step Prime and 2-Step Pro the floor is fixed at the starting balance minus 6% or 10% (8% at $200K) and never moves. Forex Direct's 7% and futures' 4%/3% trail your highest end-of-day balance and lock at the starting balance once the account is up by that percentage. On futures the floor resets to the starting balance after each payout; on forex Direct it stays where it is.
Example
A $100,000 forex Direct starts with a $93,000 floor. An end-of-day balance of $102,000 lifts it to $95,000; at $107,000 it locks at $100,000.
News and weekends: limits on funded Pro and Direct
StrictOn funded 2-Step Pro and forex Direct, nothing may open or close on affected instruments from 5 minutes before to 5 minutes after high-impact news, SL/TP fills included; on Direct that ends the account, on Pro the profit is reversed. Weekend holding on Direct is a hard breach: positions open at 15:45 EST Friday are closed and the account terminated. All futures accounts must be flat by 15:30 CT every day. Prime programs are unrestricted.
Example
US CPI comes out at 08:30 EST. If a Direct account's USDJPY stop fills between 08:25 and 08:35, the account ends; AUDNZD is unaffected.
Payout qualifying: profitable days or consistency
Watch outForex bi-weekly needs 3 profitable days, monthly 7; a profitable day means the lower of end-of-day balance or equity is up 0.5% of the starting balance on the previous close. On-demand needs 40% consistency and 2% total profit; forex Direct needs 20%. The futures challenge account needs 5 profitable days and 35% consistency; futures Direct 20%. Consistency restarts after each payout.
Example
On forex Direct your best day is $5,000 of $20,000 total profit, 25%. You need $25,000 total before you can withdraw.
2-Step Pro: a total lot cap once funded
Watch outFunded 2-Step Pro accounts cap total open lots: 10 at $25K, 20 at $50K, 40 at $100K, 80 at $200K ($5K and $10K uncapped). A first breach closes everything, removes the excess profit and disables the account; a second removes profit, cuts the split to 30% and ends the account.
Example
A $100,000 Pro account already holding four 10-lot trades breaches the cap by opening one more lot.
EAs, copy trading and banned strategies
Watch outEAs only on MT5 accounts bought with the EA add-on, never on cTrader, Match-Trader, TradeLocker or Direct; passing with an EA and trading the funded account by hand also breaches. Copying only between your own accounts, at most one master and one copier on funded; copying from other prop firms is banned for accounts bought from 15 September 2026. Grid, martingale, cross-account hedging, arbitrage, tick scalping, HFT and shared devices are banned, and violations can drop your risk limit to 1%.
Inactivity: 30 days on forex, 7 on futures
Good to knowA forex account with no new position opened for 30 calendar days is permanently suspended; closing trades, editing SL/TP or placing pending orders do not count. Futures accounts need at least one completed round trip every calendar week (Sunday to Friday).
Example
If your last trade was opened on 1 January, open another by 30 January.

From Hong Kong or Taiwan
Neither region is restricted or on the $90,000-cap list, and Hola Prime Limited, which owns the website, is a Hong Kong company with an office in Tseung Kwan O. Rise serves both but starts at $500; smaller amounts go by crypto (from $50) or wire, all at a 2.5% fee. On platforms you get MT5 and cTrader (+$20); the FAQ reserves Match-Trader and TradeLocker for US and UK clients. The site has no Chinese version.
Can Hong Kong and Taiwan traders use Hola Prime?
Read from the firm's own list. A firm that bans Hong Kong or Taiwan is not listed on XSR at all.

Not restricted
Logging in from a restricted country, or through a VPN routed via one, ends the account. Mainland China is listed; Hong Kong and Taiwan are not. Residents of 11 other countries are capped at $90,000, and some products are withheld by country without a published list. The site footer still prints an older, shorter list.
Sources and checks

Could not be confirmed on the firm's own pages
These are printed from recent third-party coverage. Confirm them with the firm before you buy.
- Futures 1-Step Prime billing: the FAQ describes a monthly subscription renewing every 30 days, while the futures page advertises no monthly subscription and a $0 activation fee as a limited deal. This page lists it as one-time; whether a subscription or activation fee returns after the deal, and at what price, is not published.
- The checkout offers Match-Trader and TradeLocker to every region, but the FAQ says they are for US and UK clients only; whether Hong Kong and Taiwan buyers can pick them was not confirmed.
- The Trustpilot score could not be read directly; third-party sites listed 4.5 from about 2,700 reviews in July 2026. Trustpilot removed about 1,300 reviews for guideline breaches in early 2025.
- Founding month: third-party records give August 2024 for the company and about November 2024 for the public launch.
