What Alpha Capital Group is, and who it suits

What the firm is, who it suits, and what you will trade it on.

XSR summary

Alpha Capital Group is a UK firm (Alpha Capital Group Limited, founded November 2021) selling one-time evaluations in forex, indices, gold and oil, executed through ACG Markets, a broker in the same Alpha Group. Five products are on sale: Alpha One (1-step, trailing drawdown), Alpha Pro 6% and 8% (2-step, static drawdown), Alpha Swing (2-step, hold through news and weekends) and Alpha Direct (no evaluation, 90% split). Alpha Pro has two prices — On-Demand (cheaper, 40% best-day rule) and Bi-Weekly (14-day payouts, no best-day rule) — and checkout defaults to On-Demand. The catch is on the funded side: a Max Risk Rule closes the account if open loss on one instrument reaches 2–3%, and profit made mostly from sub-2-minute trades is removed.

Suits

Traders who care about a UK-registered operator and English support.

Watch out for

On funded accounts the Max Risk Rule closes the account at a 2–3% open loss on one instrument, and profit made mostly from sub-2-minute trades is removed.

Leverage and limits
Alpha Pro: FX 1:100, metals 1:30, indices 1:20, oil 1:10. Alpha One, Swing and Direct: FX 1:30, metals 1:9, indices 1:10, oil 1:10. Each size also has a maximum lot exposure — Pro and One run from 2.5 lots on $5K to 80 on $200K, Swing is half that, Direct $2.5K is 1.25. Exceed it once and that profit is not paid; twice and the account closes.
Commissions
Pick the account type at checkout: Standard has no commission; Raw has raw spreads at $2.50 per lot each way. Indices are commission-free on both. The Swap-Free add-on (about +10% on price, MT5 only) drops swaps for $5 per lot each way on Standard spreads, and disables EAs.

Alpha Capital Group challenges and prices

Pick a program and a size. Every number is the firm's list price and rule before any code.

One phase: a 10% target, a 6% max drawdown that trails your highest balance until it locks at the starting balance, and a 4% daily limit. One trading day minimum, no deadline. Payouts are On-Demand only; a 90% split costs about 10% more. Not eligible for scaling. Paid once per attempt.

The loss limit trails unrealised equity tick by tick. The hardest rule in the industry — most blown accounts die here.

Illustration: a made-up path held to this account's real limits.

Once you are funded

Review and KYC take up to 2 working days; no activation fee. Request on demand once your best day is within 40% of the window's profit and profit is at least 2% of the account. Once the drawdown has locked at the starting balance, withdrawing all profit closes the account, so leave a buffer. Weekend holds allowed.

Alpha Capital Group rules, in plain words

Most dangerous first. Each one says what the rule is, how it is measured, and what it looks like on a real account.

4 Strict4 Watch out1 Good to know

  1. Max Risk Rule: 2–3% open loss on one instrument closes the account

    Strict

On Qualified accounts bought after 21 July 2026, open loss on any single instrument reaching 3% of the account size ($5K–$25K) or 2% ($50K–$200K) closes the account. All losing positions on that instrument are added together and winners do not offset them; re-entering the same direction within 10 minutes of a close also combines the losses. Alpha Direct's limit is 1% from the first trade.

    Example

A $100K Alpha Pro funded account has a $2,000 limit per asset. Two gold longs at −$1,200 and −$900 make −$2,100, and the account closes even if EURUSD is up $3,000 at the same moment.

  2. Max drawdown: fixed on Pro and Swing, trailing on One and Direct

    Strict

On Alpha Pro and Swing the loss line sits a fixed distance below the starting balance and never moves. On Alpha One and Direct it trails the highest closed balance and locks once it reaches the starting balance. Both are checked against equity: touch the line on open loss and everything is closed with the account.

    Example

Alpha One $100K (6%): the floor starts at $94,000, moves to $96,000 when the balance reaches $102,000 and locks at $100,000 once it reaches $106,000. Alpha Pro 8% $100K keeps its floor at $92,000 for good.

  3. Daily loss: two formulas, depending on the plan

    Strict

It resets at 00:00 server time (GMT+3). Alpha Pro 8% and Swing use the day's starting balance and ignore floating profit carried over. Alpha Pro 6%, One and Direct use the higher of starting balance or equity. Either way, live equity touching the line is a hard breach.

    Example

The day opens with a $100,000 balance and $101,000 equity. Alpha One (4%): the limit is $4,040 and equity must stay above $96,960. Alpha Pro 8% (4%): the limit is taken from $100,000, so equity must stay above $96,000.

  4. On-Demand or Bi-Weekly: the payout rules are fixed at purchase

    Watch out

On-Demand (Alpha One, Swing, and Pro by default): request once profit is at least 2% of the account and your best day is within 40% of the window's profit. Bi-Weekly (Pro only): every 14 days, $100 minimum, 5 trading days before the first, no best-day rule. Alpha Direct has its own 3% buffer and 15% best day. You cannot switch after buying.

    Example

On-Demand: a $1,000 best day means total profit must reach $2,500 ($1,000 × 2.5) before you can request. Profit left after a partial withdrawal is locked until the new window passes the rule.

  5. The 2-minute rule and position spamming

    Strict

On every account the average trade must last over 2 minutes, and at least half your gross profit must come from trades held longer than that. Break it in an evaluation and you restart Phase 1; on a funded account all profit is removed and the balance reset. Separately, splitting one idea into 3 or more positions opened less than 60 seconds apart counts as position spamming.

    Example

A $10K funded account is up $1,000, and $600 of it came from trades under 2 minutes. That is over half, so the whole $1,000 is removed. For a 3-lot idea, open one 3-lot or two 1.5-lot positions.

  6. News: free in evaluations, a 10-minute blackout once funded

    Watch out

Evaluations may trade news freely. Funded Alpha Pro, One and Direct accounts may not open or close on an affected instrument from 5 minutes before to 5 minutes after a listed release — a stop or take-profit fill counts. It is a soft breach: that trade's profit is not paid. Positions opened earlier may be held. Swing has no blackout, but a trade opened within 2 minutes of a release must last over 2 minutes.

    Example

US CPI at 08:30 New York time: between 08:25 and 08:35 no fills on USD pairs, gold or US indices. A take-profit hit at 08:31 is a violation and that profit is not paid.

  7. Maximum lot exposure

    Watch out

Every size has a cap on total open lots, checked position by position at payout review. The first breach voids the profit made on the excess; the second forfeits the profit and closes the funded account. Breaches count per position, not per idea, so a run of add-ons can log several at once.

    Example

$25K Alpha Pro is capped at 10 lots. Open 11 lots, then add 1 more while it is open, and that is two breaches — the account closes. Swing $25K is capped at 5 lots.

  8. Weekend holds: not on funded Pro or on Direct

    Watch out

Overnight holds are fine on every plan (swaps apply). Weekends: Alpha Pro may hold during the evaluation but not once funded — the profit on those trades is removed, the account survives. Alpha Direct may never hold over a weekend. Alpha One and Swing may at every stage.

    Example

A funded Alpha Pro account still holds a trade worth +$800 at Friday's close and closes it on Monday: that $800 is removed at payout.

  9. 30 days of inactivity, and the IP rule

    Good to know

Any account with no real trading for 30 consecutive calendar days is deactivated for good; logging in does not count. On IPs: no two people on one IP; a VPN or VPS must use a static IP and be notified by email first; family sharing a household IP must also notify first; logins from distant countries on the same day without notice count as a violation.

Alpha Capital Group payouts: when, how much and how

When you can withdraw, how much, and how the money reaches you.

  1. 01 · First payout

On-Demand (One, Swing, Pro On-Demand): once profit is 2% of the account and the 40% best-day rule is met — at least three profitable days by the arithmetic. Bi-Weekly (Pro): 14 days after the first funded trade, with 5 trading days. Direct: after a 3% buffer plus 1%.

  2. 02 · After that

On-Demand whenever the conditions are met again; Bi-Weekly every 14 days. Paid within 2 business days of the request, with the account locked meanwhile. Close all trades before requesting.

  3. 03 · Profit split

80%; Alpha One and Pro On-Demand can be bought at 90%; Alpha Direct is 90%. The 4th payout adds a bonus of 0.25% of the starting balance.

  • Alpha Pro's On-Demand and Bi-Weekly prices are read from the checkout API (Price = Bi-Weekly, ondemand_price = On-Demand, per the site's checkout.js); the site prints no static price table to cross-check.
  • The checkout API's Max_Loss field for Alpha One says 10%, which contradicts the help centre's 6% trailing drawdown; this page uses the 6% the help centre and checkout display show.
  • Alpha Pro 10% and Alpha One 6% / 12% are still in the help centre but marked unpublished in the checkout API; whether they are paused or withdrawn is not stated.
  • Whether Taiwan residents can receive through a personal Wise account has not been confirmed by Alpha or Wise.
